Our work
Signature Bank
Future-proofing with flexible web design
The Ask
Signature Bank, a Chicago-area-based owner-operator commercial bank with a highly personal touch, engaged McGuffin to help upgrade its digital presence. Taking the existing site content, Signature Bank looked for McGuffin to evaluate their website’s UX by making changes to the site structure and navigation to allow users to better find important content. McGuffin was also tasked in overhauling the UI to be more approachable, easier to read, and ADA compliant. The bank also asked us to re-evaluate how and where content and videos are organized, as well as how users can contact a banker. The Answer
McGuffin began with discovery / interviews with key stakeholders and worked with marketing leaders to define site objectives. We also worked to define a messaging strategy, zeroing in on key messages and where they needed to reside. We then developed a UX strategy that pinpointed how we could achieve the best experience for our users. That included user flows, user testing, site architecture and wireframes, evaluating and elevating the digital design system to assist with design and development efficiencies, identifying how wireframes and templates could create a flexible system to allow for future growth and updated content. The new website serves up a better, more organized and more intuitive user experience, while honoring the established brand and messaging of Signature Bank. What we did

Design System
McGuffin inventoried Signature Bank's website design and developed a new robust modular system that future-proofs the website to allow content to expand and adjust as needed. These modules were designed to be mixed and matched for flexibility so the client could update and create on-brand pages without the need for additional designers or developers.
